Descripción	The University of Glasgow is seeking to appoint a Lecturer (LTS) in Spanish. The post is a result of a successful Leverhulme Trust Fellowship award. It is a fixed term 0.8 teaching replacement lecturer post (approx 28 hours per week) over 16 months.

Salario	£35,845 to £40,322 Grade, level 7, per annum
Requisitos	Qualifications Essential: A1 Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 12 [PhD] in Spanish or equivalent in a related discipline and/or equivalent teaching experience. Knowledge, Skills and Experience C1 Sufficient breadth and/or depth of knowledge of Spanish language and Hispanic cultures and of relevant teaching methods to work within the subject area. C2 Ability to communicate material of a specialist or highly technical nature and to be effective both orally and in writing at a level appropriate to the activity in both Spanish and English. C3 Experience of planning and progressing work activities within professional guidelines or organisational policy, applying initiative and independent judgement. C4 Thorough knowledge and ability to apply policy, practice and procedures including broader University/sector/external [e.g. commercial] awareness. C5 Up-to-date knowledge and specialist understanding in the field with an ability to engage the interest and enthusiasm of students to inspire learning and to provide pastoral care to students within the subject area. C6 Appropriate experience of teaching Spanish at undergraduate level. C7 Sufficient research and teaching experience to supervise undergraduate dissertations in the subject area. Desirable: B1. Ability to teach Spanish sociolinguistics and/or related sub-fields including multilingualism, language policy, minority language dynamics and language contact in the Spanish-speaking world
Responsabilidades	In this role you will contribute to the delivery of a high quality student experience by contributing to teaching, assessment and administration associated with undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Spanish, and undertake scholarship to enhance learning and teaching in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures. The post will have a particular responsibility for the design, leading and delivery of courses in Spanish language (including beginners), understood in a range of global contexts. Applications from candidates with a background in sociolinguistics and an ability to contribute to courses relating to the sociolinguistics of the Spanish-speaking world will be particularly welcome.
